Nia and Jojo Take the Stage

Nia and Jojo have been stepping it up lately as they have been performing away from Abby Lee's guidance.
They have been doing meet and greets as just the two of them without the whole team. They are proving they don't need Abby to succeed. This is a big step for these girl's as Abby always tells them that they would be nothing without her. I think that they are definitely going somewhere in this industry. What do you think?

Bullying Jo AGAIN

Feelings were hurt and lines were crossed when the girls were all asked to give reasons why Jojo should be added to the team and why she shouldn't.
Some of the comments were very harsh and even brought a few tears to Jojo's eyes. She was very tough to take the rude comments so well. I know if it were me in her spot, I would be bawling. The girls were saying that she is too loud, which at many times she definitely can be. They also said she was too crazy, couldn't calm down, and can't keep up in the group numbers. They tried to end it with nice thing, but the damage was done.

Dance Mums and Bad Teeth

On March 17, a new Lifetime series premiered called Dance Mums Uk, the UK version of the American series Dance Moms.

The series started with a special episode called, Abby Meets Jenn. In the episode Abby Lee Miller, from the American version of the show, comes to evaluate the UK girls and their teacher Jennifer Ellison. The girls are not up to the standard of Abby's girls, but they are pretty special. It's the girl's moms that are really the problem.
The moms talk back to Abby and argue with her. They also have bad teeth. I don't think it's okay that they can have bad teeth and have everyone be okay with it. Here in America we have to suffer through years of braces to make our teeth look swaggy, but they just get to have bad teeth and no one cares?? I understand if the mom’s teeth aren’t perfect, but the girls are trying to be professional entertainers and maybe teeth aren’t a big factor in the UK, but they should be thinking of how the whole world views them.
They also talk very differently on the show, I can't understand half of things they say because of the strong accents. I would recommend adding subtitles to the show just so people who aren’t used to the accents can understand. I don't know if bringing this show to America was the best call. It is a very entertaining show, just some aspect make me angry.

Should Maddie Say Bye?

After obtaining a large amount of professional jobs, many believe that dancer, Maddie Ziegler, should leave the show Dance Moms and carry on a more professional career.
The young dancer's career took off this past year, and the show, Dance Moms, to some seems to be below her. She has stared in two of professional singer Sia's music videos, Chandelier and Elastic Heart. She has also been featured on television shows Drop Dead Diva and Austin and Ally.
She has attracted a lot of attention recently as well and she was asked to be interviewed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Good Morning America.
Ziegler had reached goals that many adult dancer's still strive to reach. The highest point in her career this far has been her performance on the 57th Annual Grammy Awards, dancing to Sia's song Chandelier.
The television show is what started Maddie's career and it could be very hard for her to leave it all behind. Do you think she should leave the show?

Bullying Jo

Dance Mom's isn't unfamiliar with drama, but it isn't usually between the children.

In a recent interview from their tour, the girl's of the show are seen speaking rudely about fellow teammate Jojo Siwa. They are seen making fun of her voice and making fun of the things she talks about.
They do end the interview with all nice things about their fellow cast mate, except for the youngest girl, Mackenzie Ziegler, who doesn't at all seem pleased with Jojo being on the show. Maddie Ziegler, older sister of Mackenzie, finished by trying to clean up their sticky situation saying,"We love her. She supports us, and she loves us."

Lucas Leaving

Lucas Triana, former Candy Apple's Dance Center member, recently cut all ties with teacher, Cathy Stein, on last weeks episode of Dance Moms.
At a competition that both the ALDC and CADC were attending, Lucas' mother went to wish A Abby Lee's girls good luck, but was caught by Cathy. Cathy claimed that Bridgette, Lucas' mom, was a traitor, for wishing the other team good luck, and kicked Lucas off the team.
Lucas stormed out of the room when he heard the news. His mother told him to go and say bye to Cathy.  Lucas refused this demand claiming that he doesn't want to waste his breath on Cathy.
He concluded his outburst against Cathy with a strong claim that, "They treat me like crap and I'm tired of it!"

Brynn's Back

On the March 10th episode of "Dance Moms" guest dancer Brynn Rumfallo had returned to the ALDC after a week away to compete with Maddie Ziegler.
Ziegler and Rumfallo were both given solos choreographed by Abby Lee Miller to compete against each other. Abby's main girl Maddie has a reputation of never losing, but on the other side Abby has a reputation of never putting anyone good up against Maddie. Rumfallo was given a solo titled, "Diamond in the Rough" and Ziegler was given a solo titled "Vertigo".

After Ziegler recent acclaim to fame working with artist, Sia, Abby claimed that Maddie's training has suffered from all the time away. Putting Maddie against Brynn was a strong way to push Maddie to dance her best, and keep her on her game.

To Matty Be or Not To Matty Be

The Dance Mom's drama stepped up on the March 3rd episode when Holly Frazier decided to fight back.
Maddie Ziegler, Mackenzie Ziegler, Kendall Vertes, Nia Sioux Frazier, Kalani Hilliker, and two of Abby Miller's guest dancers were planning to star in a new "Matty B" music video, with Mackenzie as the lead. After a dispute between Miller and the company making the video Miller chose to pull her kids from video. Unhappy with the decision Frasier refused to pull her daughter from the video causing much tension between the teacher and mother. This argument could also possibly cause punishment for dancer Nia Sioux.
Frasier even took her anger to twitter saying, "Moms speak up and advocate for their children. I am doing what a good mom should do. No group dance would change my actions."

Abby's Attacker

In November of 2013, Abby Lee Miller was attacked by one of her dancer’s moms at a competition. Kelly Hyland, mother of dancers Brooke and Paige Hyland, was charged with assault because of her aggressive behavior and actions towards Miller. Hyland and Miller will appear in court on May 5th.
It is possible that the altercation was staged for the show, or that the producers encouraged Hyland to attack Miller. Hyland is making the argument that the attack was in self defense because Miller attempted to bite her and was screaming at her inches from her face.
Miller isn't the only one filing a lawsuit, Hyland is sueing Miller and the “Dance Moms” producers for a minimum of $5 million for defamation and breach of contract.

Intro to Dance Moms

On July 13, 2011, a television show titled “Dance Moms” premiered on Lifetime.
The television program began following six aspiring young dancers, Maddie Ziegler, Mackenzie Ziegler, Chloe Lukasiak, Brooke Hyland, Paige Hyland, and Nia Frazier, and their mothers through their lives at Abby Lee Dance Company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Every week begins with “Pyramid”, where studio owner and dance teacher, Abby Lee Miller, arranges the girls based on their dancing from the previous week, best performance on the top of the pyramid, worst on the bottom. There is a lot of controversy surrounding the infamous pyramid ceremony due to its negative aspects. Miller confirmed that she never had a pyramid prior to the show, but the session was all the producers’ idea.
Abby Lee Miller has been greatly criticized for her harsh teaching style, but also praised for her amazing choreography. Miller’s fame from the television show has caused thousands of dancers attempt to join her elite competition team, such as Kendall Vertes who joined season two. Many dancers have tried to join the team and successfully made it, but the dancers’ mothers clashed with the original moms. This has caused early departure for multiple dancers, such as Sophia Lucia, Nicaya Wiley, Vivi-Anne Stein, Asia Ray, and Payton Ackerman.
